Ghana midfielder Kevin Boateng suffered yet another injury setback during Schalke’s Uefa Champions League defeat at Chelsea on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old was replaced in the 77th minute after picking up a bruised on his left knee. Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt was left frustrated after the Ghanaian international seems to have aggravated his problematic knee.
“”It looks like the weekend, I do not know,” Heldt said. Boateng revealed this week he was getting better but now likely to miss their German Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
Samuel Eto scored twice as the English side coasted to a resounding 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
