Promzy aka Promzy Afrika[/caption]
Former member of the Vision In Progress (VIP) music group, Promzy has officially renamed himself Promzy Afrika as he begins his career as a solo musician.
The energetic rapper, as he is often referred to, has featured on Buk Bak’s new single titled ‘Ex Girlfriend’ which gave life to his new name.
Emmanuel Ababio, as he was christened, spent a greater part of his music career with Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), and Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Zeal) core members of VIP – one of the oldest music groups- is currently in the studio working on his songs with some though notch musicians in Ghana, reports said.
Even though Promzy Afrika has not officially given any reason to his fans for parting with the group, sources close to VIP said his exit was due to personal reasons.
The group’s manager, Bull Dog, who told NEWS-ONE he was not to blame for Promzy Afrika’s exit had, together with some entertainment pundits, wished him well as he embarks on his solo career.
