Ghanaian rapper and singer Fuse ODG who shot to fame with his amazing ‘Azonto’ song, was on Saturday crowned the Best African Act at this year’s edition of the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards.
The UK-based singer put up an impressive live performance at the event held in Glasgow, Scotland as he joined the few Ghanaians to be ever awarded a MOBO award since it started in 1996.
Fuse ODG beat the likes of Wizkid, Ice Prince, Mafikizolo Atumpan and Liquideep among others who were all nominated in the same category for the award.
Since his entry into the Ghanaian and international music industry, the ‘Antenna’ hit maker has worked with international acts like Wyclef Jean among others with several hit makers to his name.
UK soul singer and songwriter Laura Mvula also scooped two awards –Best Female Act and Best R&B Artiste, making her the highest award winning artiste on the night.
