Godbless Asamoah was on target against Liberty

Striker Godbless Asamoah is not getting carried away with his fine scoring form for Medeama.

The 21-year-old got the match winner in their 2-1 win at Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Asamoah has scored in his last two games for the side after he grabbed the equalizer in their 1-1 draw at Berekum Chelsea.

But the ex-Wassaman United attacker says he is staying grounded and focused on scoring more for the Tarkwa-based side this season.

“I am cool with how things are going at the moment. I am not getting swollen headed at all,” he said

“The win over Liberty was a collective team effort and nothing else. No one should be singled out for praise.

“I am just focused on ensuring I score as many goals as possible to help the team. It has been a difficult start but we’re glad with our first win.”

He is expected to spearhead the side’s attack in their next Premier League game against Ashantigold at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park this weekend.
